Brixmor Property Group announced a 1,193 square foot Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza opened at Westwind Plaza, located on the northeast corner of Country Road 101 South and Highway 7, in Minnetonka.
Minnesota Inboard Water Sports announced it will be moving to a new location this winter after outgrowing its current location. It will be moving one block west to a new building being constructed at the corner of Highway 7 and County Road 19 in Excelsior. Move-in is scheduled for January 2013, and a ground-breaking ceremony was held Oct. 3, at 720 Galpin Lake Road. Joe Mueller, along with his wife Pam, opened Minnesota Inboard Water Sports in Excelsior in 1992.
Plymouth business owner Gordy Engel, of The Foursome Fine Apparel and Shoes, received the Community and Arts Award from the Plymouth Community Foundation on Sept. 27. "I am humbled to receive this special Legacy Award and recognition from the Plymouth Community Foundation. For me, legacy is the privilege of carrying forward family and faith values in giving back to the community in response to blessings received," Engel said. Engel is the owner of The Foursome, located at Vicksburg Lane and Highway 55. The Foursome will celebrate three years in Plymouth this November and has been in business for more than 78 years. The Plymouth Community Foundation was launched in 2003 and "encourages philanthropic endeavors by attracting and administering funds intended to enrich life in Plymouth." This year, PCF also honored Dave Lagerstrom of Turck with the Corporate Award and John Vecere of Plymouth New Hope Little League & Mauer Chevrolet with the Youth Award. These awards honor those members in the Plymouth community that "posses high ethical standards and continue to build a history of leadership and involvement in the growing Plymouth community."
